The State of New Jersey has contracted Civil Solutions to enhance the existing statewide geocoder with subaddress points. For the purpose of this project, a subaddress point will be defined as a point that can't be created from MOD IV tax data. In addition to enhancing the existing state geocoder, the subaddress points created will aid in the implementation of Next Generation 9-1-1 for the State of NJ Law and Emergency forces, further enhancing public safety. This presentation will highlight how information from different commercial and public sources was put together to create accurate subaddress data, and the challenges encountered with not having one official source.
